Students have access during normal business hours to the UAB Family Practice Clinic located at 930 South 20th Street, just two blocks from their residence. If a medical emergency occurs at night or on the weekend the Resident Assistant (RA) will assist your student to access treatment/health services.  Families are required to furnish medical insurance for their student.

All first year students must have had a physical examination within the last year and have the Medical History form completed and signed by a physician.
