Career Development Students explore 15 different career clusters through classes, field trips, independent readings, and interviews. They also experience volunteer work, job shadowing, and on-the-job training. Our Career Coordinator works with each student to choose an on-the-job training placement and with job site supervisors to develop specific job skills and general work behaviors. The metropolitan Birmingham area, including the UAB campus, serves as field placement opportunities.
